it is my pleasure to recommend miss lee who is one of my favorite students for her application to postgraduate studies in your university. i am james spencer abbey, the statistics lecturer in the london school of economics and political science.

高考成績直接申請國外大學?

從去年年底開始,包括伯明翰大學、卡迪夫大學、萊斯特大學等在內的16所英國大學陸續(xù)宣布接受中國高考成績,劍橋大學甚至幾年前就有接受高考成績的項目。這無疑對中國考生是個利好,一個成績就能同時申請兩國高校,大大節(jié)約了原本需要考a-level的時間和精力。

這些大學給出了自己的錄取要求:劍橋大學要求高考成績在省排名前,同時參考高中學業(yè)考試和會考成績,并鼓勵提供奧賽和sat。如果申請專業(yè)對科目比如數學有要求,則數學成績需達到前80%。其他大學比如卡迪夫也要求高考總分80%以上,對高二、高三成績也另有規(guī)定。還有些大學不接受用高考成績申請醫(yī)學、牙醫(yī)等專業(yè),有的僅接受北京、上海、廣東考生。

除了對高考成績要求較高,大學及專業(yè)對學生英語水平也有要求,基本都要在雅思以上,甚至分。劍橋大學更需要對學生進行面試,綜合評估學生的邏輯和思維方式是否符合該專業(yè)要求。

雖然英國大學可以接受高考成績,但總體看來要求還是很高,限制也很多。

美國也有一些大學接受高考成績,個別學校甚至無需提供托福和sat成績。伊利諾伊理工大學、舊金山大學、楊百翰大學等多所排名全美50~100名的大學基本上會要求分數在一本線以上,同時申請人需參加面試或英語測試,并提供高中成績單。雖然看起來要求不高,但這些對高考成績認可度高的學校在排名上其實略顯不足。

雖然高三畢業(yè)生利用高考成績可以直申的英美高校越來越多,但這種方式畢竟不是主流,而且越好的大學對成績要求越高。如果高考成績不理想,學生仍然很難申請到國外頂尖大學。

高考已落下帷幕,6月20號之后各省高考成績也將陸續(xù)公布。在經歷了斷臂維納斯身高、三朵云坐標等題目的考驗之后,你對自己的高考成績敢報多大信心?如果高考失利,在用高考成績申請毫無優(yōu)勢的情況下,如何避開不利條件申請到排名靠前的英美大學?

假設a同學平時成績優(yōu)秀,基礎扎實,但因高考發(fā)揮失常,成績連一本線都沒有過,a同學應該怎樣規(guī)劃自己的留學方案?

如果a同學想去英國讀本科可以通過預科,這是高中畢業(yè)生申請英國大學的常用途徑。預科是大學本科課程開始前為了彌補教育體制差異而開設的銜接課程,一般為期一年。高中畢業(yè)生可以憑借高中三年成績單和雅思等語言成績申請預科,再利用預科成績來申請本科。但需要注意的是,英國排名前五的大學不接受并預科成績。因此如果a同學想上牛津劍橋,就不能通過上預科的方式進行申請。

英國預科課程主要有三類。第一類是教育集團開辦的預科,申請門檻相對較低。教育集團與大學合作,在學校里租借場地為學生提供課程。這類預科主要針對本校錄取。第二類是大學為本校本科學生開辦的直屬預科,大學直接提供師資及教學設施。預科學習完成后,學生可以直升相應大學的本科。第三類大學通用型預科由大學開辦,師資力量強大,學生可以通過此類預科申請到排名前10的大學。但這類預科通常錄取門檻較高。因為a同學平時成績較好,可以先通過此類預科入學,進行語言和課程過渡,然后申請更好的大學。

如果a同學想去美國留學則有更多方法,主要包含預科(橋梁課程)、雙錄取、轉錄幾種。

雙錄取其實是“有條件錄取(conditional admission)”,對于學業(yè)成績符合但語言沒有滿足學校條件的學生,學校會給學生發(fā)放兩份錄取通知書:一份是學校錄取通知書,標明需要滿足的語言成績,另一份是語言機構的錄取通知書。學生在完成6-12個月的語言課程達到語言要求后,就可以升入大學學習專業(yè)課程。雙錄取的優(yōu)點是有專業(yè)錄取保障,申請周期短,適合希望盡快出國但又沒有托福雅思等語言成績的高三畢業(yè)生。

區(qū)別于雙錄取的語言課程,預科或橋梁課程基本包含語言和專業(yè)課兩部分,在此階段學生可以一邊提升語言一邊學習專業(yè)課獲取學分,為本科學習做好充分過渡。一般開設本科預科的學校排名會優(yōu)于雙錄取的學校,如果是排名前50的大學,預科結束后需要遞交托福和sat重新申請本校或者外校的本科課程,對學生的課程基礎和學習能力要求更高。

如果學生本身未能達到夢校錄取要求又不想花一年時間刷標化成績,那轉錄就是個很好的選擇。因為可行性高風險小,近兩年選擇這種方式的學生越來越多。

轉錄其實就是轉學,a同學可以選擇先申請入學門檻低的社區(qū)大學,學習一兩年后再申請轉學至更好的綜合性大學。特別是有transfer admission guarantee機制的社區(qū)大學,如果成績達到要求,可以申請轉入大學相關專業(yè)繼續(xù)就讀,畢業(yè)后可獲得該大學學士學位。通過轉錄申請綜合性大學,既無需提供sat成績,又能節(jié)省在美國學習的時間和費用,非常適合高考成績普通但又希望能盡快出國留學的學生。鑒于a同學平時成績較好,可以在進入社區(qū)大學后嘗試申請加州大學系統(tǒng)內排名靠前的公立名校。

每年高考后都是留學旺季,特別是成績公布之后,發(fā)現進不了理想大學或專業(yè)的學生,紛紛開始咨詢出國讀本科的可能性。然而不論通過何種方式入讀海外高校,學生其實都需要在很多方面做好準備。因為不像低齡留學生那樣有充分時間提升語言實際運用水平、融入文化環(huán)境,所以對高中畢業(yè)生的語言能力要求更高。另外,心理上的準備也很重要。從高中到大學,國內到海外,家長把一切安排妥當到事事都要靠自己,其間的角色轉換和心理落差均需要自己克服。雖然高考之后再出國對學生各方面要求很高,但確實為高考生,特別是高考失利考生提供了一條新的出路。

在職考研同學的雅思7分經驗

先說一下自己的情況,我準備去澳洲讀碩,醫(yī)學方面的,雅思分數要求單科不低于。非英語工作環(huán)境在職4年,英語幾乎荒廢,所以為了出國,我準備了整整2年,但有付出就有回報,最終的成績足以說明!寫這篇文章,主要是總結一下經驗,希望給大家一些幫助。

考前準備:

當我知道報考的學校單科分數不低于分的時候,我就著手開始對雅思的分做了解!因為是第一次考雅思,對于分數的概念不是很清晰,當我知道分并不是我現在的水平能達到的時候,我用了很長時間做了思想斗爭!到底要不要考,要怎么準備!

-收集各類資料,了解雅思考試以及各類經驗方案等等,為接下來制定自己的計劃做準備!

-了解自己目前的狀況,以后可針對各個弱項進行加工,最后在通過練習提高熟悉程度!

-尋找輔導機構,對各個輔導機構進行分析,選擇好的,適合自己的!

聽力方面我最擔心,長時間的接觸英語,使得我在每次做聽力題的時候走神很嚴重,注意力也不行,而且雅思這東西全都是細節(jié)性的東西,總是會露掉,所以可謂是大敵當前啊!我選用的聽力材料是劍橋、黑眼睛!黑眼睛還是比較基礎的,聽起來不是那么費勁!聽力特訓,那真不是人做的,比真題難度大太多了!不過效果還是明顯的!

然后是閱讀方面,很多人和我說相對于gre的超長句子,雅思的廣告文章根本不用費勁,我的閱讀基礎比較好,但是長時間的不使用退化的也不是很明顯,可還是注意力方面不太行,經常會看著句子腦袋就不知道想什么了!無奈只能開始用筆在句子上一行一行的掃,讓注意力停留在筆尖上,結果很累人,但是注意力上去啦!閱讀題目的題型特別多特別復雜,只好通過題目練習來熟悉;單詞在那個時候也是一個問題,買了一個看起來比較薄得單詞書(好像叫雅思單詞真經吧)花了 5,6天熟悉了一下。我對單詞書本身單詞量的要求也并不是很高,因為考慮到以前已經背過像紅寶書這種變態(tài)單詞書,理論上講所有文章上的單詞都應該認識得, 只是有些生詞的詞義比較模糊需要整理一下吧!如果基礎差的同學個人建議是拿本托福的單詞書來背,單詞量就比較多了,背完了話心里實在!

對于寫作,大量的閱讀對寫作有 直接的幫助。語感的問題。而且我有一個讀書讀出聲的壞毛病。但是我發(fā)現這點對我的寫作有很大的好處,小聲讀讀自己的作文,可能馬上就發(fā)現問題在哪里了。

訓練寫作,我只能說順其自然,寫寫自己的觀點,在有一定邏輯結構的情況下,不要去follow那些所謂的introduction, firstly, secondly, to conlude的模式,寫出自己的風格。我平時是很喜歡寫作的,所以我寫過英文的短片的中篇的小說,還有很多議論文咯。雖然 ielts作文我掉鏈子,我覺得大量寫絕對是好處的,不管你寫什么,你對寫有熱情就是好的。而且尤其是中文作文寫得不錯的人們要對自己有信心,語言還是有相通之處的,所以中文作文寫得好,英文作文也有很大機會能寫的好!

口語是我話時間最多的地方,在醫(yī)院里基本上是說不上英語的!所以為了能讓口語有所提高,我除了報線下的輔導班之外還報了線上的英語輔導班。最開始對于線上的課程不是很信任,更何況要得到分以上的分數,所以只想著找個外教帶帶我學習就好,鍛煉下口語!我爭取保證每個星期和外教連線3到4次。課后會把反饋錄音下載下來平時聽,聽見自己的和外教的對話,看到外教的反饋,確實收獲很多,而且消除了我和老外對話的恐懼和緊張,我記得開始的時候總是不知道該怎么說,所以會有很多停頓和錯誤,但eq給了我很多種native的思路和表達,讓我豁然開朗,不禁讓我慢慢對eq有了期待。我想口語這次能獲得這個分數,外教給了我很大的幫助!!!口語還是要多說多練的,還要懂得答題技巧!這樣才能得到高分!

心態(tài)也是相當重要的,一定要想辦法克服考前綜合癥!對自己要有信心,要相信自己一段時間的復習能力!只有良好的心態(tài)才能考出平穩(wěn)的成績!!

我是深圳市福田小學六(3)班的xxx,我性格開朗活潑,母校良好的學習氛圍,優(yōu)秀的師資力量培養(yǎng)了我科學嚴謹的思維方法,積極樂觀的生活態(tài)度和開拓進取的創(chuàng)新意識。課堂內外的拓展實踐、扎實的基礎知識和開闊的視野平臺,使我更感到學習的重要性。我學習刻苦,成績優(yōu)異,得到了學校領導、老師、同學的一致認可。我德智體美勞全面發(fā)展,尤喜讀書,英語也很好,在校內外舉辦的各類賽事中都取得了優(yōu)異的成績,而且每年都被評為?!叭脤W生”,并在20xx—20xx年度被評為“福田區(qū)三好學生”。從一年級入學至今我一直擔任班長,協(xié)助老師做好班級的管理工作并幫助同學們解決學習及班級事務。

我非常熱愛音樂,從5歲開始學習古箏演奏,現已達到古箏7級水平,參加過各類型演出和比賽,有豐富的登臺演奏經驗,演奏的作品頗具感染力和表現力,曾憑一曲“瑤族舞曲”在20xx年全國少兒古箏邀請賽“雅韻杯”中榮獲兒童組“銀獎”!同時,我從三年級開始成為福田小學管樂團的一員,學習演奏單簧管,在20xx年前往香港參與表演了器樂合奏《玫瑰狂歡節(jié)序曲》并榮獲小學組金獎。在完成學習任務的基礎上,我每天堅持練習演奏古箏和單簧管,享受那種在音樂的長河中徜徉的感覺。

另外,我從小隨同母親積極參與各種社會活動和演出,4歲—10歲時在“小白鴿藝術團”學習舞蹈,在各大晚會和舞蹈比賽中都有所收獲,如參演《盛世和諧中國年》20xx春節(jié)聯歡晚會和20xx年“首屆深圳市義工服務市長獎”頒獎典禮電視晚會;值得一提的是———20xx年在參加“深圳市達人喜樂會小達人專場”的現場錄制中,我同母親聯袂演出的印度舞頗受好評!同年我有幸參加了“深圳第26屆世界大學生夏季運動會家庭火炬手選拔活動”節(jié)目現場錄制!這些都讓我受益匪淺。

每年假期我會隨同家人一起出外旅行,游歷祖國的大好河山,感受悠久的中華文明,偶爾也會出國去體驗他國的異域風情。這些都讓我大開眼界,所獲頗豐。

過去并不代表未來,勤奮才是真實的內涵,對于今后的學習和生活,我充滿了信心。我將會更加努力,成為一名合格的中學生。
