there may ba so mangy kinds of success in the world that i can't enumerate them maybe it's difficult to set a defination for ,in my opinion,it's easy to define what is failure---there is only one failure called never try.

everyone has his dreams but not all of them dare to make it come like a huter aimed at his game but never fire or a soldier who crying out but never are afraid of failure that they might encounter.

that reminds me of a game we used to put the chairs in a the player must pass through th barriers made by the chairs with his eyes covered would be allowed to memorize the positions of the as soon as his eyes is covered,we will remove all the chairs.

sometimes,our life is just like such kind of tried our best not to bump against the these things turn out to be existing only in our sometimes,we made them for dare not to participate a competition or get cold feet to call the boy or girl we turns out that the barriers we made for ourselves lead to the loss of a lot of things.

don't give up trying untill you really bump against the so,at least you have a place to sit on.

some people would say i tried but i failed to pass an exam or to find a job.i'am a failure .but on the contrary,i prefer to call these things setbacks instead of is no failure in a winner 's dictionary.

it doesn't matter i you have a tumble , what really matters is that you lose the courage to stand up and give it another process is full of tears and pains.

just look back on how we learn to walk when we are we gave up easily,today we may only crawl .if tomas edison gave up easily in finding a proper material to make a bulb,maybe we will live in the darkness after the s we need some torches to go on with our competition.

i,myself,a shy person by nature who easily suffers from stage fright,had to get up my courage to take part in this speech contest like this.i could have stayed away and had an easy time of it by not coming i chose to accept the challenge and to face the difficulties. now here i am.i will try my best because i know i would broaden my horizon and make a lot of friends here.

i still remember the first time i sang a song at a party ,the first time talking to a foreign friends,the first time made a speech on the platform,gh at first they almost scared me to death,but when it was over,i feel it's worthing is a saying goes,'people often regret what they didn't do instead of what they have done.'

forrest gump often says,'life is like a box of chacolate ,you never know what you are gonna get.' i would say if the chacolate you got is not your 't get upset but try the next.

i believe my dream

hello good evening everyone!

i'm so happy that i can be admitted by my dreamed school. the new campus gives me a new start so i have a dream that the future me can rise out this small world and hold a place of myself, after several years' experience.

in order to make this dream come true, i ask myself not only focus my attention on studies ,because i should face all the society not only my textbooks or my classmates.

i think college is also a small society where i can improve myself .for example i should learn how to get along with other though i may dislike them ,or how to deal with things that i used regard as worthless and so on.

then i sincerely hope i can find my true friends so that we can struggle for our dreams together!

although every thing is unforeseeable, i believe my dream will come true as long as i stick to them and never give up!

my topic today is "making the self-confidence."

thomas edison once said: "confidence is the first secret of success." yes, in life, we can not do without self-confidence everywhere. a person without faith, is bound to be abandoned by the society of a person, a person has been abandoned by successful, one was abandoned by the people themselves! therefore, we can say without hesitation: self-confidence is a person's soul!

self-confidence does not equal arrogance. it is a determination, has the power over life and death. never blindly self-confidence, it is hard honing the ability of the condensed. ability is like the crown, it is only mounted on a self-confident fengyun sparkling diamonds, will become eye-catching and gorgeous. similarly, there is no ability to foil, and let confidence no matter how brilliant, but also like the loss of green flowers, value greatly reduced.

it＇s a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. then today i want to talk something about dreams and reality.

as the famous russian litterateur lev tolstoy （列夫、托爾斯泰）said， “ideal is the beacon（煙火、燈塔）. without ideal， there is no secure （無慮的， 安全的， 安心的， 可靠的， 保險的）direction； without a direction， there is no life.” so there’s no doubt that everyone needs his or her own ideal. have you ever thought that what is practical and sensible（.明智的， 有感覺的， 明理的） will connect with our most treasured dreams？ maybe， to somebody， reality has little relation to ideal. to others nothing can be done without the sense of reality. so make our dreams a part of our reality. and make our reality a part of our dreams. there is no reason why our dreams must oppose our reality. improve our dreams and our reality by bringing them together.

as a university student， establishing a dream is one of the most important things we have to do everyone must see the reality clearly at first. your family condition， your personal ability， your social intercourse （交往、交流）， your subject and the job you want to do， these things show you the reality and lead you to establish a dream.

further more， difficult or otherwise， we should put the power of reality into our dreams. last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasing 追逐our dreams. do believe that we can achieve our ideal step by step by the passage of time！

ladies and gentlemen,

i have had a lot of teachers in my school who have given me much help in my study. for their help i will never forget them. but today i am going to talk about a special teacher of mine. this teacher is not a human being and its name is“computer”. it has been teaching me a lot of knowledge and i appreciate it very much.

with the development of modern science and technology, computers are widely used in every teritories (1) including education. how can a computer be my teacher? how does a computer teach me? multimedia(多媒體)helps a lot in this aspect in recent years, and computer-based training (cbt) has become a popular educational medium (手段). even before the multimedia come (2) up, many different learning systems appeared, using the components and techniques we now associate with the term “multimedia”. multimedia components, such as graphics (動畫) , animations , sound and video, make the learning process easier through visualization. animations can present many complex subjects dynamically, but human teachers can not do this on blackboards.

multimedia makes our study more lively and interesting. for example, a cd-rom disk named “encarta encyclopedia” contains 650 mb

information including images, graphics, music clips, video clips,

animations , texts, hotwords, and database search functions. fields involved includes physical sciences, performance arts, social

sciences, politics, military, education and so on. when pressing a button, i can hear american president clinton's speech clip. i may enjoy playing all kinds of musical instruments in the world. i can also see the animation of many physical phenomena. this makes

physical concept to be understood deeply (3). the audio features of multimedia can greatly help me learning (4) foreign languages. with its speech output capabilities, i'm no longer dependent on an instructor for proper pronunciation.

how can i interact with a computer? there are many ways,

including keyboard, mouse pointer, and touch screen. i often use a

keyboard. when i press right keys, i can see and hear whatever i want. information world is at my fingertip. i wish that true speech input-output system would be invented one day.

as teachers, computers have a lot of virtues： they are positive, they have good memories and never lose any information stored in them. they have much knowledge in every field. they can let out all kinds of sounds, and can also improve the efficiency of our study. for example, if i want to, i can skip some chapters so that i can study at my own pace.
